Disappointment!

After 3 weeks of anticipation and TJ's countless hours of research and planning, we ended up having to abandon the Wind River Range hike due to snow. It was very disappointing.
Saw this but not sure what it is

The day started early and we hit the trail, heading towards Little Sandy Lake just after 10am. Just like we rehearsed, every 5 mins, we would yell out "hey bear", to make sure they know we are around. After about 2 miles, we started getting more and more patches of snow on the trail and deeper. I was walking on knee-deep at times. Some were even up to TJ's knees. After careful consideration, we decided to turn back. The snow would only get worse as we ascend higher. When we were on our way back, it snowed! Then the sun appeared after about 10 mins later. Mountain weather! To cap a disappointing day, the car's side bumper dropped off somewhere along the track out. Fortunately, we took the damage waiver option. Fingers crossed.
The snow-capped mountain we failed to conquer

We checked into a B&B in Pinedale. Our plan is to head to Grand Tetons.
