Off in the Pathfinder

The semi-appropriate named car was big by Australian standard but just barely fit our stuff. We had hoped to have 2 bikes inside but had to settle for one on the roof. The suction racks are the best, as TJ proclaimed. Loading the rest of our stuff was still a challenge, let alone having a lady NYPD threatening to issue TJ a ticket.

Putting the drama behind us, we headed north, leaving the city behind. First stop - lunch in Ogunquit, Maine. Its a small seaside tourist town with limited parking unless you patronize a few lobster restaurants with valet or pay $8. Its was lobster for lunch at Lobster Shack.

Another 4 hours of driving and we ended up in Ellsworth, where we hastily bought some supplies. Then its off to Blackwood Campground, finally setting up camp before 8pm. Quick dinner and off to bed.
